When I was in preschool, my favorite time of day was when I was allowed to draw and paint. As I got older, this love never faded and eventually I went to college to study art.
I use many different mediums, such as acrylics, oils and pastels. I believe that working in a single medium is restrictive to my artistic process. Each idea manifests in its own individual style.
Looking past the obvious, close observation and engagement of paint is my process. The challenge is to see beyond the distraction of the conspicuous to capture its unique self. Some of my paintings are quite beautiful, others less so. My goal is to inspire those who see my work to look more carefully at the world around them, to discover color in unusual places.
